Purpose without character does not last. Before we ask what we are called to do, we have to ask who we are becoming in the process.
Character is built quietly — in the choices no one applauds, in the integrity we keep when it costs us something. Our school and community outreach programs exist to plant this same foundation in young people early, so that whatever they go on to do is carried by a character that can hold the weight of it.
